The Darkness of Beasts and Men
This is a short story about a young man and an incident he (somewhat) overcomes. This is a werewolf story, yes, but not a cliche-d one I hope, as it includes much more unhappiness and gore and such. There is no swearing, no nasty in-bed stuff, but there is gore. I mean, animal-mauling-blood-everywhere gore. Sorry, but in a werewolf reality, it would be rather dark and disturbing. If you do not like those things, please do not read for your own sake. Other than that, mild humor included. No idea if I'm going to write another story with the same sort of people or not, so I will get back to you later about that. Anyways, have fun and good luck. All characters' names and characteristics and fiction, I did not take them directly off somebody, so in cases of coincidence where you or someone you know looks like a character, my apologies, but I swear I didn't look up people and write their description. This book is very short and I did it while bored this past month. The story started off sweet but I lost inspiration for it and ended it with a "dark turn". Of Men and Beasts
This is a folktale concept that came to me many years back, but it was only recently that I found myself able to shape it into the kind of story that I wanted. It's a bit longer and more detailed than my other short stories, about twice as long actually, which is why I've split it into two parts. Just to provide some context, it is meant to take place in a medieval, Germanic setting, shortly before the Protestant Reformation when religious fervor was at an all-time high.
