Yet as the Catholic James VI of Scotland's reign in England after their beloved Queen Bess becomes more and more certain the people turn to back the girl they once called a 'bastard'.
Legitimised by her mother and accepted by a portion of the people the Princess Anne becomes Queen at the ripe age of 19.
Yet her reign is not one of ease; she will have to take a leaf out of her mother's book as she battles for her crown, her life and her family.
