In lands with fiery storms, winged beasts, and savage fighters, a rebellion will manifest. Many will perish. Some will rise from death. The journey ahead for Meekah and her kin is rife with blood and battles. They must find sanctuary with strangers in unfamiliar lands. And seek those willing to fight if they can survive for long enough.

Meekah can't hide what makes her different from others of her kind. With ember eyes, pale skin, and dark unruly hair, she looks nothing like those who reside in the harsh Vontanion landscape. This is the mark she bears. One that marks her as an outsider, a traitor, but maybe the key to ending the war.

With his dark complexion and tall stature, the alluring Reigning son, and future Soren King, Zeandre knows that she could be the one to save them all, if only he can find her again before it's too late.

Alliances will form and be destroyed. The bonds of blood will be challenged, and no one is safe from harm. Caught in the struggle, Meekah faces a dangerous path. Will she be able to keep her freedom, or will she need to surrender? And who will ascend to claim the crown of the Blood King?

{COMPLETED} The stars disappeared seventeen years ago. A black night sky has mirrored a bleak existence for the people of Auros. The Gifted, humans with unique abilities to affect the world around them, have all but become extinct thanks to the dark reign of a usurper. And somehow Zephyr Elvy has managed to live her nineteen years in the blissful quiet of a small town next to the sea. Zephyr has always been content to keep to herself, and happy to live a simple, if uneventful, life. If only the universe had that in mind for her. Forced to flee the only place she has ever called home, Zephyr finds herself running through a world she has only ever read about, along with two soldiers who have deserted their posts to keep their consciences clean. With only a letter and a mysterious weapon as clues to why she's being hunted, Zephyr must face her own fears while discovering a whole new world of terrors at the hands of a queen she knows next to nothing about. Having never risked anything her entire life, Zephyr is forced to choose between apathy or action, hiding and keeping to herself, as she has always done, or taking a leap that could change the world she is just now getting to see. ***** Thank you SO MUCH for reading! I'm updating every Monday until this story is done, and I've been sitting on this one for almost three years so I'm really excited to finish it! I don't have any beta readers for this as I write, so please let me know if you notice anything, and I mean ANYTHING, that needs fixing! :)
