This is a Walking Dead fanfiction.
Evy Dixon is a girl that lives in Atlanta, she's 9 years old and has to deal with a lot.
Her mother was a drunk and smoked a lot
As for her father, he is also a drunk and takes all sorts of woman home.
Her older brother Merle is a drug addict and abuses Evy when he's frustrated or mad
Her other brother Daryl is always forced to go with his older brother and always gets into a lot of trouble
Suddenly a huge virus breaks out and costs the world a lot of citizens. Evy and her two brothers have to leave their home town to flee from the thousands of Zombies. They meet another group of civilians that had escaped the cruel and dangerous world around them.
To survive the world around them, they must think like the world around them. And only one phrase keeps them standing...

If you read this: please do not skip around. Just because the chapter looks interesting doesn't mean you skip the 'boring' ones. A Glimmer of Hope
***WARNING*** This story is very graphic and only for mature readers. It has a graphic sexual assault as well. You've been warned. Athena was traveling around the country seeing her family after losing her husband in a car accident a year before the fall. She thought that they were perfect for one another and losing him shook her to her core. She was in Georgia when the world started to go to hell. After traveling alone for few months into the apocalypse, she stopped to sleep in the woods when she heard two engines stop late into the night. She went closer to the camp, snapping a twig. Then small whispers. A man with a southern twang (appropriate to the area) spoke in a hushed but urgent tone. Athena just caught the end of what he had been saying: "This isn't a democracy anymore!" Shortly after making her presence known, she gets to know the members of the group she heard whispering little by little, though they are hard to let her in to the group at first.
