Kimberly, at the young age of 15, has already developed her natural survival instincts beyond the average ADULT capabilities. She cares for herself as well as her younger sister, Olivia and it isn't ever a walk in the park for the two girls. Did I mention  she lives with alcoholic and abusive parents?

Survival under the same roof as the alcoholic and short tempered couple begins to look more challenging by the day...especially after a traumatic event that makes life unbelievably worse. And each time she attempts to run, every punishment upon recapture is worst than the last...being starved and beaten becomes a norm.

After failing to escape 3 times with her sister, Kimberly has now built up the confidence and is driven to plan a fourth escape. Is it worth risking not only her own life but her younger sisters life as well? Wasn't the third time meant to be "a charm"? Will the fourth be the last time? Is there life after or inevitable death?
