"In a world of newness and uncertainty, I caught a glimpse of you, and it felt like a dream. It was as if fate had brought us together, whispering promises of hope and connection. In that brief moment, I dared to believe that what I saw was real, a reality I yearned to embrace". ♡ Joyce, a 12th-grade student, embarked on a journey of adaptation in a new school, where everything felt unfamiliar. She was a shy girl, struggling to find her place, keeping to herself and avoiding social interactions. Once, she was different, surrounded by childhood friends and familiar faces. But circumstances changed, and she had to leave them behind. That's when Alfred entered her life, a fellow student who shared the same experience of starting anew. His outgoing and friendly nature breathed life into Joyce's world, encouraging her to be herself and find confidence. It was like he had a magical touch that ignited a newfound belief in herself. But then, a storm of emotions overcame Joyce, and tears streamed down her cheeks. She carried a heavy heart as she walked through the school halls, searching for Alfred in vain. She is an outcast. She finds it easier to express what she feels in the form of writing. Whether it is poems, letters or long texts. These are poems that she writes trying to describe how it feels to live with certain mental health issues, in a world that disregards outcasts. So, these are on the darker side of the spectrum. Some poems might be distressing for some readers. I personally enjoy consuming dark content, it's kinda like a coping mechanism. I really hope none of you relate with any of these :) I'll be posting only poems here, I'll try to be as active as I can. The poems are not in any order.
