When Braeden loses her entire family to a terrible accident, she gets put into the foster-care system. Her foster family turns out to be the bad boys from her school. She knows that it's going to be hard to get used to, but she's going to make it work. When you lose anyone, it's awful. When you lose anyone in your family, it's worse. But when your whole family dies from a terrible car crash and YOU'RE the only one that survives. That's even worse. I lost my family four months ago and now I'm jumping around foster homes. I used to be the schools goody goody, but I've turned into the school's bad girl. I get placed into the foster home of the biggest bad boys in our school. In 2037, in the middle of nowhere, lies a newly built testing lab, owned by the government. The government is unfortunately corrupted, and has led the whole country into disaster. People are starving, and the whole economy is falling apart. Since the government needs a new way to get out of this terrible situation, they are finding new ways to make money. Fortunately for them, science has blessed them with a new discovery- a new blood type. The people with the new blood type are said to be able to be resistant to most high falls, and also are stronger than the average human being. They are now capturing people with the new blood type, blood type AE positive. You just happen to be one of those people with the rare blood and you drive in an attempt to escape the clutches of the Obelus. Unfortunately, your attempt has failed, and you are now trapped in a cell waiting for testing. You are their newest subject, subject number 43.
