serendipity[ ser-uhn-dip-i-tee ] noun 1. an aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident. 2. good fortune; luck 22 year old Promise has lived 3 years of abuse, yet she still finds a way to forgive the man she gets abused from. She believes that he loves her even though he causes her pain, so she won't leave him. He gives her whatever she desires to no end but that doesn't measure up to the pain he causes her twice a week.
