I stood there, looking out at the sunset we watched together, which now seems like it happened forever ago. Looking down at my feet, I didn't even notice that I hadn't stopped walking, the cold water already up to my ankles. I let out a deep breath, feeling tears roll down my cheeks. "I wish we could've been together." I say, the wind suddenly feeling colder, making me realize how lonely I felt. I feel an arm wrap around my shoulders, pulling me into a comforting, side hug. "Maybe we can, in another life."
