Is it necessary to facilitate the end when you already can 'predict' it's arrival or do you take the decision in your hands and fight against the seemingly inevitable future for the now?
Do you fight against the future?
Take revenge for the past?
Or live, fight and exist in the very real present.
The descending god tackles such questions through multiple narratives and characters going from Cosmic proportions to local realities to ask this question in the setting of an ancient land which stands as a surrogate India.

THE QUEST FOR LIGHT (COMPLETED) by stefaniet_
58 parts Complete
"A battle against darkness for you all. Bring back the light or the world will fall." "Our world is fading. Darkness is taking over." Eleven gifted kids are chosen to go on a quest for light, for the world is on the verge of being conquered by darkness. Average-girl Stefanie was sucked into a world she had no wish to be sucked into. Falling out of a window, getting sucked into a portal, and dragged through a place she never wanted to be in, Stefanie is just about through with the horrible luck she's had. And when she finally thinks she's settled in, making new friends and a few enemies along the way, she has to go on a quest, to save their kind the supernatural children of the gods. With the word NO completely engraved in her mind, Stefanie tries her best to escape the quest, with reluctance and defiance, only to get more and more tangled in a web of danger and darkness. When she passes the difficult test to go and is stuck with a world depending choice, she realizes that her life has changed and she has to fight to save her friends and hold onto the leftover light that's left in their shadowed world, agreeing to go. But they still have to figure out who the eleventh chosen one is, hinted to be "the queen of stars", but how can there be a queen of stars if no one they know possesses the Weathermental element of star? Is this whole thing just the world's last, shrivelled hope? With the power of the elements, being sons and daughters of the gods, and tons of magic, will this be enough for not just her, but all eleven to break through the darkness and find the last spark of light? *Warning: I wrote this is in grade five

What do you do when you know the fate of the world is going to rest on the shoulders of a child? Worse. What do you do when you know that child is going to kill you? What do you do when you know that this child fated to save the world, is your very own? You train them of course. Deep from the past, and mythologies and pantheons of old gods, mixed with Fantasy, Adventure, and Science Fiction. This story takes place in a world much like our own. However, unlike our world, the people are not all the same. There are hybrids. Humans that have feline features, dog features, and other animals. Mice who can talk and play an integral role in the formation of the world around them. Bound to their heroes when they meet, they must travel far and wide wherever their hero goes. But this story isn't about the mouse-kin. No, this story is about the transfer of power from one legacy to another, and the struggles in between.
