There is a rumor, a legend, that runs among the scouting corps. A story of sacrifice and bloodshed. The story tells of a large expedition beyond Wall Maria, in which the corps came in contact with an abnormal unlike any other. One with intelligence, and the ability to throw down giant needle like structures from its hands, raining hell on anyone below. Against such an adversary, the scouting corps now has to face its greatest threat yet, and eliminate it for humanity's survival.

This is the first time I've written a story like this, however I feel that I should explain some plot points since I did try to stick as close to the anime canon as possible but there are a few things I'd like to clear up first.
