AMC Into the Badlands fanfic. Pre-Season 1. OC-centric (as you can probably tell). Not so much AU as "canon-divergent" (the fancy name for "Lol what's a 'canon'?"). Not a crossover, though the title and basic premise were inspired by Robin Hobb's "The Assassin's Apprentice."

my first finished book. I started writing this, when I was in 8th grade, and I ended writing it at freshman year. Warning: most of the book was written, when I was at school, meaning some stuff wasn't really researched (or was it?). And it may or may not have a lot of mistakes. This fanfic is was posted earlier on ao3 (since ao3 is cheaper, you don't have to buy subscriptions + some stuff to read it). This book doesn't have graphic smut, but it does have violence! (and pure murder). Currently, I'm writing my second book, which is mainly focused on what happened when Janna was stuck on Planet Europa 5893x. It has more murder, violence, royal drama, and maybe some romantic relationships (the only non-toxic ship in the first book were two 11 year old boys). When I was writing this book, I thought: "if tweek and craig were two 10 year olds in a healthy mlm relationship, why can't I do the same thing, but with an skateboarding goth 11 year old and a broke trans 11 year old". warning: janna, nate walker, bad (horrible) parenting, crazy oc-lore, murder and violence, toxic relationships, (surprisingly) healthy relationships, mentions of multiple fandoms (as we read the book, since my oc-lore is literally a cross-over between fandoms + my own thing), 🏳️🌈people, swearing, mentions of drugs(idk much about them but my oc's a drug dealer-) + many other stuff I should've mentioned, but didn't mention, because I was too lazy-Completa

New town. New identity. Same crazy. I love it!!! (insert enthusiastic voice ) (cough, cough) Not!! I hate it. I hate having to to hide who I am. But to protect the civilians and my new home from being destroyed like my last ones, I have obey the leader's rule. No matter if I do disapprove. I say as I still lie under the covers. My mother pulls my cover from my body and tosses it on the floor. I quickly sit up in my bed and glare at her. "Get your ass up now you have half an hour left before your first-period starts and you better not be late," she demands. "Mom, this isn't my school. This isn't my home. I don't want to go." I whine and beg my mother at the same time to let me stay home. What was I thinking? My mom has an image to uphold being this perfect mother who loves and cares about her little baby girl. We both know the truth. Until a few years ago, I never even knew she existed. She and my father both agreed to send me here because they couldn't stand the fact that I fell in love with a black boy.
