As Adelaide travels for a month to reach King's Fall, The Kingdom of Snow, in the North from Fool's Landing, The Land of Faeries, in the south, she learns about the language of humans  and their culture as she also learns that she would not be able to fight as a warrior as she was able to do as Faeries did no matter their title. When she reaches The Kingdom of Snow she is immediately unwelcomed by the common people due to her Fae blood.
