Kaden Park and Evelyn Gray were once inseparable friends. Three years ago, he left town, and Evelyn hasn't seen him since. And then, one day, he turns up again, but he isn't the same as Evelyn remembers. His eyes are cold and he's causing all sorts of trouble in school but -- worst of all -- he treats Evelyn like a stranger. Everyone else is afraid of the new kid with the smirk and a knack for setting trash on fire, but Evelyn's heart won't let her be afraid of the boy who let her weave flowers into his hair and hold his hand. She will do anything to reach out to him, to find his scars and heal them, and to let him know that she hasn't forgotten how they were before. Not once.

A tale of friendship and love, of soul-mates, and of facing the world and the troubles of being young with someone by your side.
