Winter hates having to pretend not to have feelings for Qrow. She had thought that if she ever saw him again alive, then it would be a happy reunion, and possibly the start of a relationship. Now, however, she is only confused and scared. Why is Qrow being so distant when they are around other people? What about his past makes him so dangerous? Does Winter really love him, or are these feelings just figments of her imagination? Not helping in her internal struggle, an unfamiliar and handsome man has entered the picture, and has no qualms in presenting his exact feelings for Winter. Qrow is on edge: Gale's murderer, a pyromaniac named Singe Volant, had said he would go to Vacuo to kidnap Ruby and kill her friends, so Qrow has to stay on the lookout. At the same time, he has to determine wether or not Gale's last theory was true: that Qrow doesn't have a bad luck semblance. It was this semblance that held him back from ever pursuing any kind of long-lasting romantic relationship. However, if Gale was right, and Qrow is free to love, then can he prove to himself that he is worthy of dating Winter Schnee?
