Nobody knew what happened to Nikala Thomas. In the small town of Lakewood, it was odd for someone to just go missing especially someone as prominent as Nikala Thomas. Police told everyone that she would return and that she had probably ran away, but everyone else had their own theories about her disappearance ranging from alien abductions to rouge C.I.A agents who wanted her father. However, when the truth was revealed that Nikala was murdered and not missing, nobody knew who to suspect.
After all, Nikala had no enemies. She was loved by everyone, or so Riley thought. The unexpected death of Riley's best friend broke her in half. She could not understand why anyone would want to take Nikala away from the people who loved her dearly. So when Riley Anderson finds Nikala's secret blogs on her computer, she begins to question everyone including Nikala. It turns out she had too many enemies to pinpoint which one had killed her without suspecting everyone, but Riley had to figure out who killed Nikala before they got to her too.
After all, Nikala's secrets are deadly.

In a sick sort of way, she loved it-reminiscing about Leo, literally drowning in the memories of him. And it isn't long till Riley does drown herself among those gray memories, shutting and shunning the world forever, in a place too far to reach. She is already so gone, that every one of her friends and family are very close to giving up, and on each tick of the clock Riley is close to letting go.
