Foster Difo is a news reporter in New York. He is perceived as just an ordinary guy, with an ordinary job with an average life. The truth is, there is a lot more to him than meets the eye. Foster has a creative and intelligent mind with great curiosity bubbling from inside.

When on the plane to Afghanistan to report on the outbreak of the conflict in 2001, a manoeuvre goes awry and Foster is stranded on an uninhabited island in the Mediterranean. On his quest to survive and gain contact to anyone on the planet, who knows what types of obstacles he might face? Will Foster's gifted mind help him overcome the challenges that lay ahead?

Author note: Apologies if I change to first person after the first chapter. Also, apologies if there are any historical inaccuracies or incorrect facts, this is purely fiction and written for fun.

Some fates are worse than death--survival is one of them. In the two hundred years since humanity left the Earth's surface to live in the sky, life on the ground faded to a myth, a tragic memory from which they severed themselves to survive. They floated above continents turned to sand and lands swallowed by the seas, watched storm after storm rage against their cities and their monuments until they broke apart the last vestiges of civilization in penance for generations of human greed. As a lightning harvester charged with flying her ship into these storms for energy, Raina has seen more of the planet than most. She has spent her entire life soaring above its craters and scars, studying the gaping wounds of human devastation, as she honed her skills and became the youngest captain in storm-chaser history. Her ship has flown for generations. Her skills are unparalleled. But none of that matters the day they go down. ~ Praise for Earth, After: "I'm so not ready for this ending. When 18 year-old trust fund kid Quinn York's tourist shuttle to Mars unexpectedly crashes, he wakes up only remembering one name: Celeste. He knows he has to find her no matter the cost, even if he loses his own life in the process. Quinn discovers the world is changed however; the nuclear holocaust that caused the shuttle to crash also set the world in commotion. It becomes a "kill or be killed" life for Quinn as he does anything he can to find Celeste. To do so, he must survive cruel raiders, grotesque animals, and a new breed of mutated human survivors called Skulks. **PLEASE NOTE: This is a progressive book, meaning throughout the book, the main character will be presented with different options. A "Choose Your Own Adventure" if you will! It is up to you as the readers to determine the actions of Quinn York. I don't know how this story will turn out, and I'm excited to see what path it takes. Will Quinn be a fearless raider killer or will he become the most horrible human being on the planet? THE READERS WILL DECIDE - HIS FATE IS IN YOUR HANDS!!! **Please comment at the end of the chapter about which action you vote for to make it simpler for all of us. I will require a minimum number of comments/votes before moving on, which I will state at the end of the chapter. I will post a new chapter once a week, because I do have a busy life, and I will be doing several revisions on top of massive brainstorming depending on what options you all choose. So please be patient, and please "LIKE" my book to spread the love. Thanks and enjoy reading "Nuclear"

A meteorite slams into the earth causing a global catastrophe, the particles on the atmosphere block out the sun for years, slowly cooling the planet leading to a world-wide ice age. Humans find refuge in dome cities, pre-build when the meteorite was detected, which are meant to last under the snow for thousands of years. In the process, technology brings forth the age of immortality and unprecedented automation. The result is a decaying society blind to any cause and drugged to survive the endless parade of years. An idea sparks in the mind of Alex. An idea already rooted in the minds of humans since their early appearance on Earth. Migrate. Within a few years, a team had been formed and a budget had been granted for project Gaia to initiate. The spacecraft "Hera" is built in space, ready to take a few settlers to Solis. A solar system which seems to be ideal for harboring life. Many planets within the goldilocks zone and an abundance of oxygen. Is Alex the hero who will rebuild humanity in a new world or someone who abandoned Earth when it most needed its healthiest minds?
