The story takes place in late 1990, where the world has been changed by a strange species that are out of this world. Every leap year they hold an event called the fire trials where teams from all over the world come to compete. This is a story from the point of view of one of the teams that survived the trials Mia and Josh who battle there way out in order to leave the trials victorious.
