It is 1963 in Montgomery Alabama, United States of America, and the racial discrimination in the southern states has hit an all time high. After the many cases of racial inequality such as Emmett Till, Rosa Parks and Linda Brown, racism in the south still remains. This story follows the journey of 17 year old Arizona Lockwood during the time of the white southern hatred for any being with a different tone of skin complexion. A young girl, so very ahead of her time in the way she acts, thinks and carries her virtues. Her mother died due to childbirth and her father being the pastor for the white Anglican Church in a town that was best known for being the most segregated in the USA, things take a turn for the worse when quirky Arizona falls for the new, sophisticated, young, colored pastor of the colored church. Will it all be too much for her father? Will their love stir minds and awaken the dead?
