"VIOLET!" He screamed desperately, tearing through the trees. "Violet, where are you?" I could smell his despair. His pounding heartbeat thudded in my ears. "Violet, please! If you're out there, answer me!"

Silence was the only thing that answered him.

He collapsed to his knees, covering his dirt covered face. His sobs broke my heart. I wanted so desperately to go to him- but that was impossible. I'd only hurt him more.

"How could you leave me here!" He screamed to the sky. "How could you leave me alone? I-I thought I meant something to you?" he took a ragged breath. "You told me you'd never leave me here! You'd take me with you. We'd be together! You said so!"

I couldn't stop myself-my self control was gone. Instinct took over, leaving only what I truly was.

Jumping swiftly down from the tree branch, I landed down beside him, cupping his tear streaked cheek in my hand. I peered into his blue eyes, seeing his soul. He'd bared his soul to me. I told him not to. I tried to warn him to stay away. Now it was too late. "Always." I whispered, before taking his head between my hands and twisting abruptly to the left.
