The apes were wary but Caesar and Kira knew it was the only way to bring peace to both human and ape kind. However, a scarred ape named Koba whose hatred for the humans was beyond comparison threatened to destroy the budding peace by destroying every human in the world even if it meant eliminating Kira as well. It seems Peace now hangs onto balance between human and ape kind.
