COMPLETED story with a SEQUEL; "A Permanent Lineage" *Over 34+ chapters overall! "...She had dreamt of what his lips would feel and taste like for literally centuries and they didn't disappoint. The first touch of her lips on his was like a taste of water after years in the desert..." The war of the ring is over. Lady Arden of Ardor belongs to an ancient line of powerful half-breed Elves. Rumors hint at what their powers could possibly entail but no one knows for sure. Some say they are clairvoyant and others proclaim them to be shapeshifters. Many say both. One thing is for sure; all of Middle Earth fears them. But the war could not have been won without their aid and now the cursed line is asking for acceptance. No longer do they want to wander the forests endlessly, moving from kingdom to kingdom as permanent nomads. Now they call for a meeting between the fellowships' 5 bloodlines, requesting a permanent lineage and kingdom. There are just 2 problems that hinder lady Arden from finally receiving the honor her and her kin deserve. 1. The kingdom they wish to call theirs borders Mirkwood forest. 2. The king of Mirkwood is not so inclined on being neighbors with cursed creatures, especially their queen. Raised to look down upon anything not of full elvish form, Thranduil is enraged by the audacity of the creature and her people who have plagued his borders for centuries. However many do not know that the 2 were once inseparable. Long ago the 2 elvish races lived in peace until tragedy struck. Ever since then, Thranduil has hated Arden and her people with a passion. When it comes down to the last vote, it is none other than Thranduil who holds their future in his hands. Will he take advantage of Arden in the process of deciding? Will Arden finally be able to change his mind and in the end gain something more eternal than a legacy? The Mermaid's Forgotten Love (Legolas love story) by kyxgarra21
21 parts Complete
Artemis that's my name. A Long long time ago a young elf prince gave it to me. He was the crowned elf prince of Mirkwood. His name Legolas he was a very kind young elf. I had saved him from drowning when he was only 10, well looked 10 anyway. Since he is an elf they age very slowly just like my kind. After I saved his life that day he wouldd often come see me. Each day just to learn about me and my race. Since we'll, im a mermaid. I'm the last of my kind. He and I grew up together and my feelings for him became one of love over time. I loved him but it was dangerous for me because mermaids can only love once. If my heart breaks it will turn to stone and stop beating, it will grow old and cold and it will stop and never start again. My body will live but it would be a shell of a mer. One day Legolas had come to see me by the river, he told me about a young she-elf named Tauriel. He told me about how he had feelings for her and how amazing she was. My heart hurt at those words. He had fallen for another. That day I told him I loved him and that I would never forget him. Then I grabbed his face with my hands and kissed him. When I kissed him a tear slid down my cheek, when it hit the ground it turned into a white pearl. I kissed him because I loved him but when I kissed him I took away every memory of him and myself. I let go and put my necklace around his neck. It was a green stone with markings on it. We called it our hearts we would give it to the ones we love. I looked at him one last time before jumping back into the water leaving the one I love.

In the heart of the cursed Mirkwood Forest, Legolas, the prince of the woodland realm, is haunted by an inexplicable feeling of being watched. Unbeknownst to him, his every move is shadowed by a female elf (I am not going to reveal the name), the enigmatic and fiercely skilled general of the Mirkwood army, who has vowed to protect her prince and her king - Thranduil. Legolas, however, remains unaware of her presence. Every midnight, she cloaks herself in secrecy and ventures out to meet him, masking her identity. Under the cover of darkness, she observes him carefully. Amidst the looming threats of darkness creeping into Mirkwood, the unlikely bond between Legolas and the general becomes both a source of strength and vulnerability. When news of the One Ring's existence and its devastating power reaches the woodland realm, Legolas, along with a fellowship of brave companions, embarks on a perilous quest to destroy the Ring and save Middle-earth from the clutches of darkness. In a tale of hidden identities, midnight meetings, and unspoken emotions, "Shadows of Mirkwood" explores the profound connection between two souls destined to protect their realm and, in the process, find solace in each other's arms. As they face the ultimate quest to destroy the Ring, their love becomes a beacon of hope in the face of overwhelming darkness. Will their love withstand the challenges of secrecy, duty, and the temptation of the Ring, or will the shadows that brought them together also tear them apart?
