This story starts off with two children, Samuel Raymond and Hazel Raymond. Hazel was the oldest but unlike other children her age, she was very smart and full of ideas. Samuel, however, was confused and obnoxious about everything. I don't blame him. Hazel and Samuel were sent away on a large boat with other children to a strange orphanage in the middle of the ocean by their mother, they never understood why though. Especially because of how the owners treat the children. They would always make them do horrible unnecessary chores, feed them terrible food, and would even scream at the children if they made an error or if they disobeyed. Sounds pretty bad, doesn't it? But ahead of the children, there is fate and destiny. (There is a contest on the cover.)

Thoreau

This four-book series is now available only on Amazon, Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, or physical copies through my Etsy shop mrsweir. Audiobooks are available on Audible, iTunes, and Amazon. *** Thoreau Jones, 15, has had a terrible life since his older brother Emerson left Gray Shadows. His parents, the alpha and luna of the pack, constantly remind him that it's his fault Emerson took off, just like it's his fault for being "retarded." His only friend, Binda, tries to tell him otherwise, but he knows the truth. If his brain wasn't so broken, Emerson would have stayed, and Mommy Daddy wouldn't have to "fix" him every day or keep him locked in a cage in the attic. When his parents finally give up on him, they ship him off to Five Fangs with the warning that Emerson will either keep him or kill him. Thoreau knows his brother won't want him and can only hope that his death will be quick. After all, if he's so broken that even his parents can't love him, it's probably for the best. However, it isn't death that awaits our sweet boy at Five Fangs, and the Moon Goddess has more blessings in store for him than he could have ever imagined... ***Copyrighted and all rights reserved.
