It's Tuesday. After school I have to pick up my baby brother Anthony, run home and make sure that my mom hasn't stopped breathing in a pool of her own vomit, change into my work uniform, bring Anthony to my best friend Sadie's house. Then go to work, fit in some time at the studio so I don't lose my scholarship, pick up Anthony, go home and put him to bed, do my homework , drag my mom to bed from whatever corner of the house she has managed to pass out in, and then and only then can I take a shower and go to bed. And its only fucking Tuesday. So at the risk of sounding too cliche, my name is Elettra and this is my story.

He stood up from his seat and walked over to me, squatting down to my level. "Hey, hey." He softly whispered his hands holding both of my mines, softly caressing them with his thumb. "Please don't cry, por favor." He reached a hand to my face and gently wiped the tears. "I-I don't want you to leave me alone." My voice breaking and my vision filling with tears.
