Kara always had a normal and completely unexciting life. She was mostly okay with going to a typical crappy high school in Nantucket with a lazy mother that doesn't do much at all. She has great friends and is fairly popular, but in her mind her life is a complete bore. That is until one night everything changes when a simple nightmare comes to life and she finds herself in a whole different world with things she never thought existed. She embraces the dark new life she is thrown into which involves a school training vampires and half-angels, a certain intense foreign trainer that won't get off her ass, and a few eerie secrets she shouldn't delve into, but might be too tempting to resist.
