PLEASE NOTE: my writing is a lot better now. In the not-so-distant future, the world has been ravaged by climate disasters, economic collapse, and technological overreach. The Earth's atmosphere is barely breathable in some areas, and society is divided into highly controlled, isolated Zones. These Zones are managed by an all-powerful governing body called The Ascendancy, which uses a combination of surveillance, propaganda, and strict population control to maintain order. Beneath the surface, however, a rebellion is brewing. Youth, especially those born in the years after the Ascendancy's rise to power, have begun questioning the truth about the world they live in, and their place in it. They believe that if the parents believe it, the kids will too. But it doesn't stop Alex. She and her best friends decide that they are going to try and stop this. But how? They have no clue.
