Worrying Winters by kxiii14

Maddison, James and Charlie Collins have just broken up for their Christmas holidays, and they're looking forward to celebrate the festive season, however, things don't go as expected. Their parents, Mr and Mrs Collins, are arguing a lot more frequently than ever before, and they've discussed the decision to get divorced. They are both having affairs behind each other's backs. Maddison, fourteen years old, is opinionated and has a strong sense of justice. James, just one year older than Maddison, wants to come out as gay to his parents, he's not sure if his parents are homophobic, he doesn't know whether his mom is, but his dad is heavily religious, and believes homosexuality is a sin, so, James can only assume he is homophobic. He has told his sister, and Maddison is helping him the best she can with this. Charlie is four. He just wants to be four, but after learning of his parent's dying love for each other, he matures at a rapid pace. Can they emerge victorious over their struggles? And make Christmas feel like Christmas again? Worrying Winters explores relationship dynamics, and inspires critical thinking among its readers.
