Kris is a just another normal Irish kid until one day he found a friend named Taylor, a young Canadian girl over messages on Skype. They become best friends easily as Kris finds out she has the exact same intrests as him. Taylor explains to Kris how she does something called "Rooftopping". She says this is when 1 person or a group of people run on buildings for fun. She says she only started 1 week ago and that Kris should start doing it and to practice doing it in his own town. Kris looks up "Rooftopping" on youtube and instantly falls in love with the idea. After 4 years when both are 17 years old they meet in a small town in Ireland around Kris's hometown. Taylor says how she is going to buy a house in a housing estate near by Kris's old house. She asks him to move in with her so he can become Rooftopping partners. Kris agrees to the idea and the 2 start a simple life of Rooftopping in Kris's small town. Until they want to go bigger than just a small town.

Amy has has the best life, she has good friends, a good parent, and the best boys chasing after her, but when a new guy, zack, comes and moves right across the street her whole life changes. if you want the first three chapters I will summarize them. chapter 1 Amy is getting ready for her date with a boy from the school that she has been wanting to ask in a long time. but he doesn't come and just disappears from the state. when she is waiting she see a moving van pull up and goes to see who's going to be her new neighbors. chapter 2 when Amy gets over to their yard she introduces herself and says that her mom is at work but will come over and meet them when she gets off work. when she gets home she tells her brother Sam about the girl that lives across the street, and he doesn't want to at first but then Amy tells him that she is his age and he jumps up and runs out of the house. then she goes upstairs to her room and calls her friends Lola and Lizzy to come over and they talk about Zack until Amy's mom comes home and she makes a welcoming dinner for them and they take it over to them that day. that's same day Amy starts getting to know Zack better. chapter 3 Zack wakes Amy up and starts talking to her about their date. it may seem like they are going on a date the day after they just met but Zack it persistent and wants to get to know her better, and he wants to get to know her fast. after Zack is done talking to her she tries to go back to sleep but she can't so she takes a shower. after her shower she gets out and finally looks in the mirror and sees her marks that are like fire but the color is black.
