Outside of those walls was where the poor stayed poor and poverty stayed brutally common. There were 11 closely built towns, but the 3 biggest were O'khasis, Scaleswind, and the Neapolitan villages. That was not where Aphmau was. She was born and raised in a small village far to the east called Phoenix Drop. She was thrown into guard training by her parents at the age of 12 to give her an opportunity in life. After 6 years of intense, tiring combat training and schooling, she'd been chosen to move to the castle as a guard. Of course, she wasn't expecting to be guarding the Crowned Prince of the Falcon Claw Castle.
