Rebel Summers is just an ordinary 17 year old. Well, except she can't talk. She can hear and see just fine. But she can't talk. She also doesn't believe in love. Her dad got her mom pregnant at the age of 15 then left her and never came back. Her mom does drugs now and drinks. She comes home every once in a while though. She meets David Bounty, the popular guy. He totally likes her and she's sure she does too. Too bad she doesn't believe in love. But she soon seeks help from the loner emo guy Eli Tyler (who David makes fun of). Eli teaches her the way of love, falling in love with Rebel along the way. But does Rebel love him as well? Who will she choose? Eli or David?
