Lily has just moved all the way from Michigan to Flordia. With summer coming to an end she must soon attend the high school down the road. On the first day of school Lily meets a girl by the name of Carly Regner. By the way these two get along you would think they were made for each other! She also meets a boy in her grade named Josh Regner and as the year continues, Carly, Lily, and Josh become inseparable. Lily has finally begun to call Florida  home. As the school bell rung, Lily walked out of the classroom into the chaotic halls of high school over to her locker. When Lily opens her locker a note falls to the ground. The note claims threatening messages towards herself, family, an friends. Lily assumes the note is just some sort of sick joke and tosses the note in the trash can. But when Carly goes missing shortly after, Lily finds herself wishing she'd kept that note.Wishing she'd taken it more seriously. After Carly was proclaimed missing in action, Lily  decides to go to the police with her story. On her way out, Lily finds another note in her backpack threatening that if the police were contacted, Carly would be dead before help would arrive. Unsure of what to do, Lily decides that if the police can't find Carly, she would herself. Who took Carly? Who's leaving notes in Lily's locker? Who's the real culprit?
