The girl, Mari, also consults with her lawyer, and makes an agreement that if she fails to marry with the 20 year old doctor by age 16, she will no longer be permitted to  with-go her monthly treatment to keep her alive. 2 years later, the actions that she had done at 13 come biting back at her and the young girl has no idea what she should do to live.
