A story about love, depression and friendship.

Ivory Frazier has a passion. Her passion for writing consumes her mind and has her in a constant daydream. She's strong-willed, stubborn and wears her heart on her sleeve. Heartbreak after heartbreak, along with the struggles of high school and her future ahead, Ivory becomes sad. Very sad. And reality is slowly slipping away from her. Although one particular boy has captured her attention and she's beginning to come in touch with the present.

Cara Stephens has had a lot going on for her in the past. She studies hard for school, works two jobs and has her mind set on going to a certain university. She never lets herself get too close to any guys, her independent streak shining clear in eyes. But one special boy has her for once thinking otherwise.

These two are very similar, in spite of having an obvious hatred for each other. Slowly through this story, they become best friends. A desperate friendship that neither of them are willing to let go.
