Nico di Angelo is having a happy holiday with his three sisters and their spouses and kids. He often isn't happy, so having a good time with family is a rare pleasure. But his sister Reyna is concerned about Nico's love life and why he's never had a girlfriend, and takes him out to meet people. But something terrible happens, and he is left hurt and confused, physically and emotionally. He ends up having to deal with something that will get in his way for the rest of his life. In the journey of trying to take care of Nico's new obstacle, he meets someone who is the love of his life and can also help him, Will Solace. With the help of Will, Nico has a breakthrough and starts to live as normally as he had before. Only one aspect of his life is changed, his love life.

Nico Di Angelo's school is taking the whole junior year on a trip to Greece. Following the no gender mingling school policy, Nico groups with his best buds Percy Jackson and Jason Grace. All is well and good before Will Solace joins their bubble. Nico gets a strange, tingly, ticklish feeling in his stomach when he's around Will. It doesn't help when they have to pair off to explore the Parthenon and Percy and Jason take off, leaving Nico alone with Will. It also doesn't help when the two boys decide to share a bed at the hotels. "Are you going to heal me or what, Solace?" After the war with Gaea, Nico di Angelo is forced to spend three days in the infirmary with the annoyingly handsome son of Apollo. He's reluctant at first, but there really is no point in arguing with Will once he's set his mind to something. And what did Nico expect from his time there? Naps and not so crappy Jell-O? Well, it definitely wasn't noisy visitors, a spying Roman, awkward moments, and a friendship that just might be a little more. With Nico di Angelo as Will Solace's prisoner for three days in the infirmary, Nico has to quickly adjust to all the attention he gets from Will, along with the rest of the camp. Nico has to deal with other people's problems, especially when he doesn't want to. He has to quickly learn how to build relationships with other campers from the ground up, and even though Nico is banned from using his 'Underworldy' powers, he's still a demigod, and danger and adventure are always at his heels, even at camp!
