Some people are just different. Jedda is definitely one of those people. After a law is passed by the Australian government ordering all mutants to be arrested, Jedda is taken to a detention centre in the Northern Territory. Here, she and seven other powerful mutants are chosen to join the military, and aid them in their most difficult missions. By training hard and learning how to properly use and control her unique mutant powers, she discovers that maybe being different isn't such a bad thing after all.

Unlike his peers, Kurt's obvious physical mutation was something he was both praised and tormented for. His past is riddled with suffering, but what happens when events force him to reveal himself and tell his story to his friends in order for them to help him heal. Do they understand what it really means to be considered a monster? (I really enjoyed the show Xmen Evolution, but I think there was a missed opportunity for them to delve into Nightcrawler's backstory. This is a slightly darker tone than the show, but how I would go about his origin. Somehow he manages to get out of the village to attend far away schools in the city where his life completely changes as he utilizes his newfound freedom. This is followed by several tribulations, conquering each of them, drowning in some and even attempting suicide. In college he's inscripted into the special branch where he becomes a cold killer who cleans the government mess. His story is that of denial, struggle with identity, lack of personal freedom and misery. It radiates several lessons and reveals how a person can be totally different from what others know about him. He knows that his end is near and that he has to find ways to emancipate himself, because knowing much can get you killed. Have a wonderful read.Complete
