Have you ever felt like there is absolutely nothing new in your life anymore? You do the same things over and over again. Did you realise that you never smile anymore? The absolute poker face while everyone else around you is smiling, laughing and having fun bothers you. You try to force yourself to smile but it doesn't reach your eyes anymore. You are getting fed up of your life and maybe it will always remain that way.

Will it?

Penelope Woods is that kind of girl. After her father left her mother and her for another woman, she has always been that way. The things that she once used to enjoy, like acting, are just part of her routine. Just another co-curricular activity. NO, she still has friends. Friends who will go to the ends of the earth for her. She just doesn't smile or laugh around them. All she feels is hatred for her father. She is simply lost.

So, when Dave Stein (the annoying neighbour who kept playing pranks on her) notices this, it irks him. Sure, at first it was just because he did not get the reaction from her when he played a 'brilliant' prank on her, but will it turn into something else? Will he finally fix her or will Penelope remain like this until she becomes that old, grumpy spinster with 101 cats? Will her hate consume her until the old Penelope has completely burnt into ashes? Is fixing even what she needs? Hey, who said anything about Dave Stein building Lego objects over here?
