Something people should believe in more. The imperfections I try to ignore, but my crooked teeth, my larger eye, my awful skin, how I look when I cry, the sound of my voice And the frizz of my hair, I judge how it looks, when I really shouldn't care. I was what they called a perfectionist. I had everything planned out and wanted a simple straightforward life. Things at home were hectic, disturbed, painful and heart-breaking. I open the drink and look at it as if it were the most interesting thing in the world. I sigh, it's a habit now, and take a gulp. "So?" You ask again. I put the drink on a table next to your bed and sit properly. "I don't know." I say honestly. You didn't seem fazed but you did seem a bit confused. "What do you mean you don't know?" I shrug and decide that the floor is the next best thing to look at. "I like you." I laugh at this and see you don't. "Don't say that. You don't like me. You don't." I say as my smile fell and I looked to your eyes, mine were filled with sadness. But enjoy the book :)

I've been bullied since as long as I can remember. Dark skin is so this or so that. And it seemed to get worse when I gained weight. "Now not only is she dark, she's fat too!" I couldn't escape it even if I tired. I even attempted to commit suicide. Sitting in the bathtub with nothing but pills a razor and social media looking at all the people that hate you would do that. I tried to make it go away, Lord knows but he had a blessing coming for me. I just had to wait. But I knew even in my waiting it was going to be an uphill battle. Will I win the battle?
