It's my pleasure to share this eclectic mix of poem, prose, and song. 
These are stories from the Tidewater:  that gentle land that slopes into the sea  and cradles the Great Dismal Swamp. 
I hope you enjoy the read'n of em as much as I have enjoyed the tell' n. 
These tales started out, years ago as rough-hewn pine... raw and fresh-cut. Now, after a good bit of elbow grease and linseed oil, I hope they honor those who've kept the memories alive.

I've been writing this anthology for more than a year and a half and each piece on the project is special to me. is very each I've poured out each string of my veins in these pieces and this is the project in which I've been the most reulnerable till now. Each piece in this project is a direct reflection of how I saw the world when I was 17 and 18. This project according to me has my best written work up till now and a few of my favorites are, 'Matilda's Bleeding', and 'Passenger Side'. A mixed bag, next handful a whole new ball game. This collection of poems was born from Sunday drives with parents as a kid and doing the same with my son. It's fun to listen to our favourite music and watch the scenery fly by. As a teenager and young adult however the side road was a place my friends and I could escape the mundanity of life and say things to each other we wouldn't say in public. I guess what I'm saying is everything I post in this collective are pieces that don't fit anywhere else, sort of a catch all anthology if you will. So please don't be shocked if the poems in this chapter are a little more out to lunch maybe even devious.
