Digging up Dirt (Rewritting)

Paige Ross has always wondered about the unknowns in her life, especially after her mother's death. The main question has always been who her father was, other than a name she had been given. Some would say it was providence when on her first day of college she is assigned with creating her family tree. She begins her research and finds that her father is nothing like she could have imagined. He is so much more and he is a very dangerous man.

Desperate to keep her new found discoveries a secret, Paige lies and fails the assignment. The effort is for naught, however, when she starts receiving threatening letters in the mail. Then there is the gorgeous transfer student, who has some what of a bad boy vibe seems to be stalking her on campus. Added to that is the feeling that the gun shots she hears outside of her apartment window could very well be considered warnings. Her life becomes more fearful by the moment as enemies begin to make themselves known at every turn.
