Two suicidal teenage boys cover their arms in "drawings" so much that its become part of who they are. Both have been bullied since a young age and have never met each other until one day. The older boy 18 year old Alec, runs into 16 year old boy Phillip when embarrassed in public about his sexuality and tries to kill himself while everyone just watches and records it, everyone except Phillip who saves Alec even though he's younger he  understands what Alec is going through.Can they keep themselves alive or will they break further than possible and die as everyone watches online.

That is until 4 years later when he found himself sprawled out on a bed. With Charlie Simmons hovering over him. Charlie Simmons who was kissing Ace like he would die if he ever dared to stop. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more.
