My entry for Netflix's contest. I'm obviously not gonna win but I was bored out of my wits. Warning: may or may not be angsty.
Okay, so this is dedicated to my friends, two of which are on here in the names of @CherryCharcoal and @FrenchFryDwarf and please, go check them out if you have the time! They're great people. The unnamed character in the story may or may not be me. I won't spoil it though, lol. It is exactly 500 words long, phew. I was so indecisive for the final words, haha. The author loves to chat in the comments! :) Contains mentions of dark themes such as; self harm and disorders.

Alone At Last (UNEDITED)
PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION! Everyone likes being alone once an a while. That feeling of peace and all your problems drifting into space melting away, 16 year old Luke soon learns that being alone is not always a pleasant feeling. When he wishes to be left alone upon a wishing well he soon discovers being alone isn't such a nice feeling. As Lukes mind slips away from reality he's losing sanity. How much longer can he take this madness?? Is he doomed too forever be this way? Take a journey with Luke as you read the story "Alone At Last" as he struggles to survive. PREVIEW INTO BOOK: ... When I shut the door behind me I realized that no cars were driving out here either. They were all empty and abandoned. As I strolled by there were no people talking in the coffee shop windows. Two broken souls in the midst of a crazy world. Two souls running away from their past. There was no light at the end of the tunnel. The tunnel was cracking, slowly closing in. When these two connect, as if they were set on the same path, light creeps in through the cracks, and for or a moment, the tunnel seems to have a way out, but what if it collapses before they make it? - "You saved my life." The words come out as a whisper, I've been dying to say that. I thank god every day that he came into my life when he did. "Fuck Vivian, you don't know how much I needed you." I tear up just a little as he speaks, I don't know the last time I cried happy tears. I bring my hands up to cup his cheeks, resting my forehead against his. "No matter how much I push, I don't mean it. Please don't give up on me." My words seem to relieve him in some way as I feel his shoulders relax. "Even when I'm gone, I'll be by your side, forever." He brings his hand, sticking his pinky out. "pinky promise."I wrap mine around his, placing a kiss on his lips. Warning before you read!! This is my first book! A collection of my ideas. While most could have been cared for and nurtured until they grew into fully fledged books, they have only matured halfway, creating a efficient way to get stuck in your head. I'll also post short stories that I may or may not try turning into novels. From "The Kid is Hot Tonight," a story about such topics as high school parties and domestic abuse. To "Just Another Nightmare," a story about a kind of hell you might never have thought of. This collection will likely make you question if something is wrong with me. Spoiler alert; there is. It will also show you the farthest reaches of the world and the furthest horrors that I can write about. If you want an update on how the next story is coming along, you can ask me however you want. Once upon a time, there was a beautiful girl who was unable to see her own worth. She found beauty in the simple things, like roses, kind smiles, good music, and a deep conversation. But she was not simple, so she was unable to see anything worth while about herself. This girl was beaten down by the cruelties of this world, but then she meets him, her prince charming. But can even he convince her of her true beauty? Or will she ruin any good that comes into both his and her lives forever? ----- This is a story about a girl named Jane who is forced to be someone she is not. I wrote this story because I feel like we all have to conform to be how society wants us to be, when that's not who we really are, sometime in our lives. But we all have an escape. Sometimes it's through music, reading, friends, or whatever. Jane's escape comes through a boy named Mystery who helps her grow and flourish who she really is. Please read, it means so much to me because writing and helping others is my personal escape! I love you all so much! It's almost completed!
