Sea of Deception

Losing a father to debt was hard. But losing a father to Brookman Company was unbearable to Hunter Reeds. He knew from a young age that he would not rest until his father would return home with him to his mother. Only then would their family be whole again. And only then would Hunter be at peace.

Trained as ghost assassin was hard, but not having a name was far worse for Katherine. Left on the steps of an orphanage, Katherine grew up with a small group of friends, with nothing but a sword and a journal. But when the mayor of her town took her from the orphanage and trained her to become his own assassin, she had learned to control her emotions and she had set aside her grievance. But she never forgot her goal. To find her parents - if not both then one.

At sea, there is a threat arising. A ship as black as the night sky loots all of the on passing ships before killing all crew members but the highest ranked officer. It destroys anything in it's path and is in search of the only one who could find it - Katherine.

The Sword of the Sea was only a myth in most peoples' eye, but it was only seen as millions of dollars of profit to major companies. The Sword was said to be the key to any and all of the problems at sea, and it is said that it could end problems in major cities - Paris, London, Madrid, and so on.

To Hunter, the Sword was the only way he could save his father. To Katherine, it was the only connection between herself and her parents. Will the pair come together to find the sword, or will their hope crumble within their grasp. Will they find the Sword of the Sea before it is too late?
