"What happend to you Lia?" I freeze as I realize that I forgot to cover up my bruises. "Oh uh, I-I-I just uh fell with off the stairs. You know me, always being clumpsy." I answer giving a shy laugh. Alex walk towords me and puts his hands on my face which makes my heart flutter for some reason "Amelia, you can trust me, tell me what happend, the truth." The truth, I haven't told the truth about myself in 5 years, should I now? Amelia, Lia, is a 17 year old high school student who lives her life by lying and covering up everything. She is a victim of child abuse but has learned to keep it to herself. She lies and covers up the bruises, cleans up the wounds, the blood and lives her life. Amelia's mother, killed herself about 5 years ago, that day her father started drinking, a lot. That day he started abusing Amelia. For 5 years Amelia has lived lying like this untill a new boy joins their class. There is just something about him that makes Amelia feel safe, he makes her want to tell all her secrets. But she knows better, she has to stay away from him. Wil she be able to resist him? Will he find out the truth?
