"Why did you do it," I said getting frustrated he wouldn't leave me alone.

"Just know that I did it to protect you," he said through gritted teeth.

I sneezed and rubbed my nose, "sorry I'm allergic."

He frowned confused, "To what?"

"To your bullshit. Stop wasting my time."

I turned around and was about to walk away till he spoke.

"When will you trust me again, I told you I did it for you!" he pressed running his hands through his hair.

I froze mid step and turned around to face him slowly. I walked up to him so we were an inch apart. I stared deep into his gaze not allowing myself to get lost in them.

"I gave you my trust with a smile and you took it for granted. Trust takes years to build, seconds to break and forever to repair. So ask that question again Terrence. Will I trust you again? I am a good enough person to forgive you. But I'm not stupid enough to trust you again."

With that said, I turned around and left him standing there as I went back to the gala.
