What if Lucy was supposed to be born with dark powerful magic instead of her light. And when Layla found out she took young Lucy to a doctor and locked the evil away but one night when Lucy was young the evil had slipped out. Layla saw this and protected her baby girl but at the cost of her life Jude doesn't really blame Lucy but seeing her. Dark side made it hard for him to focus on Lucy but all he saw was HER he took a deep interest into his work forgetting the evil side. When Lucy finally joined Fairy Tail she was excited as always but during the Tenrou Island attack her evil self slipped out disguising herself as the so called Earth Land Lucy and waits for her return this was Lucy's hidden past from everyone but herself.
