"Why are you crying by yourself?" Asks Russell, coming closer to me. I step back, and flinch. I don't want him near me. I knew how many girl's hearts he had broken.
"Leave me alone." I say, walking further and further away from him.
"Avalon Payson. I won't hurt you." he says, already getting closer to me. He grabs my hand, and looks me in the eyes. His eyes had turned into a yellow colour, and they almost looked touched my magic.
"You won't?" I ask, looking at the ground.
"Never."
Avalon lives with her dad in town. Russell lives with his wolf pack. It's no secret that they've been enemies for years. Until Russell sees her breaking down. He could hear all the thoughts that were going through her mind. They were dangerous. But not as dangerous as both of them being mates.
