Juliet Holmes was left on her Sherlock Holmes's door step at two years old. He didn't even know she existed, but she had a note attached to her saying:

His first instinct was to prove that she was his. He took her to St. Bart's hospital and had Molly Hooper do a DNA test, all the while thinking about his time undercover while he was faking his death.

He had gone undercover investigating murders and terrorist attacks, to find a whole new world he never knew existed. A world of wizards and witches. A world of magic.

He immersed himself into the society, soon learning that they were responsible for the deaths he came to investigate.

Death Eaters, they called themselves. In order to become trusted in the group, he had to do things unethical. Things that could certainly lead to having creating child.

It was proven that day, that Juliet was his daughter. She was also the daughter of a very dangerous witch, by the name of Bellitrix Lestrange.
