Kai is the glue that binds his family consisting of an emotionally abused mother and his little sister. He never gets weekends to himself, as he has to work constantly to help pay the bills, but he gets through it. It's never easy, but he just gets by at his job at the local Starbucks. Even without weekends to hang out, he finds time for his three best friends, Dillan, Mykie, and Manny. His whole life changes when he meets Evan, a new kid at school. No matter how hard Kai tries, he can't help but be attracted to the stranger.
