This is something I recently started to try. I didn't think they'd turn out this well. Enjoy. :) "Songs Of The Broken" (http://www.wattpad.com/77585296) Welcome To the broken glass of my shattered soul There are no pages Pick up a shard If you can handle them Soaked in pain I let you see the thread that holds me together Can you handle my burden As you scroll through my life Can you see the cracks in my heart As I try to be something I'm not But will anyone see who I am And who I need to be to survive This will break your heart As you soak my lyrics with your tears I don't need them I've soaked them enough with my own At night when I can't sleep You may see one pop up And you ask yourself If you should be reading these It's fine just know when you leave You may leave with more questions Then what you started But know I will never give myself completely Cause I'm not complete to give you much of anything I let you see the thread that holds me together Can you handle my burden As you scroll through my life Can you see the cracks in my heart As I try to be something I'm not But will anyone see who I am And who I need to be to survive Welcome to my songs Are you ready

"There's a blaze of light in every word, it doesn't matter which you heard: the holy or the broken, 'Hallelujah.'"- Leonard Cohen The poems in this series center on two characters: I, the speaker, and You, the speaker's subject. I is not a specific gender or orientation. I is meant to mold to the reader's idea of who they would be. We follow I in not only a love story, one where love blossoms and lingers until its destruction, but a tale of self-discovery, where, after a long and arduous quest for it, I finally finds happiness. There's some hefty and kind of kinky sexual content in this, so be cautious if that makes you uncomfortable (9, 11, 12 especially). Infidelity and abuse are pertinent themes, and religious imagery is woven in (mostly pagan, Christian). Please remember your own limits as you read. Thanks!
