In this beautiful world that Gux made, there is life and joy and creation. There is love, hope, and acceptance. That is what the Western Kingdoms stand for.

But with all good, there is evil. There is death and pain and destruction in this world. There is hatred, despair, and prejudice. The Kingdoms of the Enlightened stand for superiority, subjugation, and absolute power.

These two factions have been battling for nearly a century with no end in sight. However, with the death of the powerful and influential Emperor Gadeer Tal, all looks bleak as his young, inexperienced son Taheen takes the throne.

But this story isn't about Taheen. Not exactly.

It's about him and his bodyguard.
